Evelyn Polk Green, MS.Ed
President

Mission: To raise awareness and reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues, particularly in urban, poor and minority communities. Evelyn is an adult with AD/HD and the mother of two sons, Perry and Robert, both of whom are also diagnosed with AD/HD. She is a leader for the ADHD Allies Adult ADHD Facebook community and a member of the Network on Children’s Mental Health Services funded by the Macarthur Foundation. She also serves as an advisory board member and consultant on a number of mental health research and service initiatives. Active in ADHD and mental health advocacy for over 15 years, Evelyn is also past president of the CHADD National Board of Directors. She is the recipient of several honors for her volunteer work in mental health. Most recently, Beacon College honored Ms. Green with the Achieving Lifetime Vision and Excellence Award for her advocacy work on behalf of children and adults with learning differences and AD/HD. She frequently represents the family/consumer perspective on mental health issues and often speaks to audiences and the media on a variety of topics. Evelyn works as an administrator with the Chicago Public Schools, planning professional development programs. She holds bachelor and master’s degrees from National Louis University and a master’s degree from Northern Illinois University. She is much too tired to have any hobbies, but does occasionally enjoy a good book, conversation with her kids and sleep.

Ari Tuckman, PsyD, MBA
Vice President

Mission: To help adults with AD/HD to move beyond their pasts and create a better future. Ari Tuckman, PsyD, MBA is a clinical psychologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating children, teens, and adults with AD/HD. His two books, “More Attention, Less Deficit: Success Strategies for Adults with ADHD” and “Integrative Treatment for Adult AD/HD: A Practical, Easy-to-Use Guide for Clinicians,” have earned excellent reviews. He is a frequent speaker and has given more than one hundred and fifty presentations on AD/HD and other topics. He facilitated a monthly adult AD/HD support group for the Northern Virginia chapter of CHADD for five years and was named Professional of the Year. He facilitated a monthly teen AD/HD support group for Chester County CHADD for four years. Ari’s hobbies include woodworking, listening to music, reading, tinkering on the house, and biking more slowly than he used to.

Linda S. Anderson, MA, MCC, SCAC
Immediate Past President

Mission: To help ADHD individuals transform failure into success and struggle into achievement through awareness, access to resources, connection to skilled professionals and the support of other ADHD adults. Linda Anderson is a master certified coach and founder of Getting Clear. She has been actively involved in the world of adult ADHD, since 1993 and has been a coach for over a decade. Today, she serves as president of the Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA) and has participated actively on the board for several years. She also conducts an AD/HD Advanced Skills Coach Training for coaches and clinicians and has written several articles, among them: “A Closer Look At Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder - From The Outside Looking In,” “The Body Double,” and helped in the writing of “The ADDA Guiding Principles for Coaching Individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.” She is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), a Golden Circle member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and co-founder of the Philadelphia NAPO chapter. Hobbies: Learning about the brain, chemistry, human and animal behavior, Eastern medicine, spirituality, various learning and therapy modalities. She enjoys literature, movies, raising Maine coon cats, and growing with her AD/HD family while experiencing beauty and simplicity in nature and art.

Janet Kramer, M.D.
Treasurer

Janet Kramer is a retired Internist-Adolescent Medicine specialist who was in private practice for 20 years in Wilmington, DE, prior to becoming the first full-time Director of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Christiana Care Health Systems in 1993. She served in this capacity till her retirement in 2000. During these 30 years, she established the first full service public school for chronically ill children and adolescents in a hospital (The First State School), developed health services for Delaware's juvenile correction facilities, and directly developed the school based wellness centers in nine of 29 Delaware high schools. Janet also was appointed by the US Secretary of Health to represent US internists on the first US Council of Graduate Medical Education for three years (1984 -1987). She is married to Brian Kramer, former and retired Director of Research at Hercules, Inc., and is at this time involved in public policy issues of chronic illness, correctional health, serves as a physician surveyor for the National Commission on Correctional Health Services, is treasurer for the alumni association at Drexel University Medical College, and is President of the League of Women Voters of New Castle County, Delaware and serves on the Delaware League of Women Voters Board.

David Giwerc
Past President

David Giwerc is a Master Certified Coach, MCC, with the International Coach Federation, ICF, and the governing body for the coaching profession. He also is a Senior Certified ADHD Coach, SCAC, with the Institute for the Advancement of ADHD Coaching. David is the Founder and President of the ADD Coach Academy, founded in 1998, the premier comprehensive, long-distance ADD*(also refers to AD/HD) coach training program. The program is designed to teach the essential skills necessary to powerfully coach individuals with AD/HD. The Academy is recognized nationally and internationally for its outstanding ADHD coach training programs. The Academy’s advanced PC ACG (The Professional Coach – ADD Coach Graduate) Program is ICF approved for the coveted ACSTH (Approved Certified Specific Training Hours) designation.

Dee Doochin
Development Committee Chair

Mission: Dee Doochin, MLAS, PCC, SCAC is a Professional Certified Coach and a Senior Certified ADHD Coach. Dee entered the coaching profession in 1997, at age 54, and formed ADD-UP, LLC (Attending Difference Dilemma-Unlimited Potential) in 1998. In addition to personal coaching, Dee also conducts workshops and training seminars for professionals and the general public. Dee’s education background lead her to co-author the VOCKATIV Processing Styles Inventory© after contributing to Teaching Teens with ADD and ADHD by Chris Zeigler Dendy. Dee is a mother/step-mother of four, grandmother of twelve, who lives with ADHD inside and out, since she is diagnosed with ADHD, as is her son, one of her grandchildren, and her husband also fits the characteristics of ADHD, although he is officially undiagnosed. Prior to becoming a coach, Dee worked in the field of sales and service with an airline and a manufacturing company. She also had the privilege, during the Vietnamese War, of working with the Tom Dooley Foundation, teaching public health in Laos. Dee has spent over 40 years as a volunteer in the non-profit arena and currently, in addition to serving on the Board of Directors of ADDA, Dee is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Watkins College of Art, Design and Film and the Board of Visitors of the Vanderbilt University Divinity School.

Cynthia Giardina
Membership Committee Chair

Mission: To help adults with AD/HD become more accepting of themselves, recognizing their strengths, embracing their weaknesses and reaching toward their inner desire to live more fulfilled lives. Cynthia is a Life and Business Coach specializing in Adult Attention Deficit. She is the Founder/President of Kaleidoscope Coaching Services. Her professional experience spans over 30 years of office administration. She holds a BA in Sociology/Human Services from Montclair State University in New Jersey. Cynthia understands, firsthand, the challenges and obstacles of balancing family, work, college and managing her own and her son's AD/HD. Integrating her professional and personal background with her passion to work and connect with the AD/HD community is why she has chosen to help others through coaching. Having completed AD/HD coach training through the American Coaching Association, she is currently enrolled in the Co-Active Coaching Certification Program through The Coaches Training Institute. Cynthia has been ADDA's Membership Chair for several years and is committed to continuing her work with ADDA. Her hobbies include reading, listening to music, shopping, spending time with family and friends and stopping by Dunkin Donuts for a delicious cup of decaf coffee.

Robert Madonna
Development Committee Co-Chair

Robert (Bob) Madonna is a Principal and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for McCoy Enterprises, a leading corporate employee training and consulting firm. In this capacity, He is responsible for all sales and business development activities. Mr. Madonna holds a bachelor degree in business administration from Widener University in PA Mr. In addition to his work with ADDA, Mr. Madonna currently serves as a Board of Trustee with The Silver Springs-Martin Luther School located in Plymouth Meeting, PA and an Advisory Board member of Educational Excellence and Entrepreneurship (3E Institute) at West Chester University. In addition, Mr. Madonna was a founding director of the Golden Cradle Adoption. Mr. Madonna is also an active member with the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Network Group (GPSEG), assisting executives in transition. Mr. Madonna resides with his wife and three children in West Chester, PA. His hobbies include golf, gardening, reading and collecting baseball memorabilia.

Beverly Rohman
Conference Committee Chair

Mission: To promote a world where the challenges of learning differences and ADHD are identified, managed and ultimately valued. Beverly Rohman is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a long-time advocate, ADHD coach and consultant for learning differences and school searches. She is the founder of The Learning Connections, which is dedicated to helping adults, families, and students who struggle with ADHD. Beverly particularly enjoys helping clients develop their strengths that lead to more successful and satisfying lives. She has completed multiple and intensive training programs on learning, coaching, and ADHD with such experts as Mel Levine, M.D., Russell Barkley, Ph.D., Patricia Quinn, M.D., and Jane Nelson, Ph.D. In addition, Beverly spent 4 years as personal assistant to Dr. Ned Hallowell, has a coaching certificate from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), is a graduate of the ADD Coach Academy and serves on the boards for the National Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA) and Talbot Mentors. She also has extensive experience interacting with secondary schools and colleges who serve students with ADHD. The mother of three adult children, one with diagnosed learning differences, Beverly resides with her husband, Peter, in Easton, MD. Hobbies: In her spare time, Beverly enjoys cooking, entertaining, family gatherings, gardening, home projects, paddle tennis, reading and sailing. She is active in her church and is a faithful Christian.

Rory Stern, PsyD
Web Committee Chair

Dr. Rory Stern is a stay-at-home Dad, former therapist, and ADHD coach. He is an avid child advocate and provides support to parents of children with ADHD. From his days as a therapist, Rory recognized several challenges that got in the way of his patients and their families being able to successfully manage ADHD. These themes included access to practical and fundamental information, along with knowing where to find appropriate and adequate resources for support. Having left the workforce to care for his children, Rory took that as an opportunity and sign to remove those challenges by making information more accessible to people who need it. Rory holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching, from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. His true passion is in supporting families and parents of children with ADHD, to ensure that the right information gets to the hands of the people who need it.
