Committees & Sub-Committees

Executive Committee
Chair: Evelyn Polk Green, President
Mission: To exercise the powers and duties of the Board between Board meetings and while the Board is not in session, and to implement the policy decisions of the Board.

Leadership Development Committee
Chair: Ari Tuckman, Vice President
Mission: To assess, develop, review and enhance the policies, by-laws and human resources necessary to effectively institute the ADDA mission while maintaining the integrity of the organization. Plans board development activities and oversees the annual nomination and election process.

Policies and Procedures Sub-Committee
Chair: Evelyn Polk Green, President
Mission: To regularly review and assess current organizational policies and procedures, develop new policies and procedures as needed and recommend changes to the Board of Directors.

Development Committee
Co-Chairs: Dee Doochin
Mission: To generate the revenue necessary to ensure that ADDA successfully carries out its mission of providing programs and services that help adults with AD/HD.

Finance Committee
Chair: Jeffrey Druce
Mission: To advise the Board on fiscal affairs, and recommend controls, policies, and procedures to maintain the fiscal health of the organization.

Scholarship Selection Subcommittee
Chair:
Donna Soldano
Mission: To oversee the scholarship selection process and make scholarship and policy recommendations to the ADDA Board of Directors.

Membership Committee
Chair: Cynthia Giardina
Mission: To provide programming and services that (a) benefit ADDA members and (b) increase demand for ADDA membership.

Program Committee
Chair: Ari Tuckman, Vice President
Mission: To develop and implement programs that provide information, networking opportunities, and resources to help adults with AD/HD. Oversees all ADDA programs including conference, teleclasses and awareness activities.

Conference Committee
Chair:
Mission: To develop and implement regional and national conferences that provide information, networking opportunities, and resources to help adults with AD/HD.

Webinar Committee
Chair: Linda Roggli
Mission: To provide information, resources, and networking opportunities for adults with AD/HD and the professionals who serve them in multiple locations via telephone and the internet.

Awareness Campaign Committee
Chair:
Mission: To provide resources that will empower individuals and groups to raise worldwide awareness of adult AD/HD.

Workplace Issues Committee
Chair: TBD
Mission: To provide resources and education to employers and employees to create successful work environments for individuals with AD/HD.

Corrections and ADHD Committee
Co-chairs: Janet Kramer
Mission: To raise awareness of AD/HD in the United States correctional system and develop national policy for the recognition and evidence-based diagnosis and treatment of youth and adult offenders challenged by AD/HD in United States correction facilities.

Communications Committee
Chair: TBD
Mission: To effectively and consistently communicate ADDA’s message to the media and general public. Oversees all external communication initiatives and activities, including the website, publications and media contact.

Website Committee:
Chair: Linda Anderson
Mission: To develop and implement internet-based programming and services which provide information and resources to help adults with AD/HD. Oversees website maintenance, functioning and updates.

Editorial Advisory Board
Chair: TBD
Mission: To review and assess accuracy and appropriateness of content and information communicated externally on the Website, in the newsletter or for distribution by ADDA.

ADDA E News Committee
Editor: Duane Gordon
Mission: To develop content and themes for the ADDA eNewsletter.

Task Forces:

Connections Task Force
Mission: To develop, maintain and improve ADDA’s relationships with other organizations and individuals with goals and activities that positively contribute to the organizational mission.

Local Support Group Task Force
Mission: To develop and maintain relationships with adult ADHD support groups around the world and to provide programming and resources to help grow and sustain these groups.
