How to get there

The Renaissance Center is easily accessible by car. The building is at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Beaubien Street. The hotel lobby entrance itself is located on the west side of the Renaissance Center.

From the airport terminal

- Head southeast on Pilette Rd.

- Continue onto Concession Rd 8

- Turn right onto County Rd 42

By bus

Transit Windsor operates the public service transportation for the city of Windsor and offers a direct access to downtown Detroit. It runs a cross-border service through the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel. Safe, reliable and cost efficient, the Tunnel Bus to Detroit is your best option to get downtown.

Directions from Detroit

By Car

Located only 20 miles from the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, your best option to get to the Renaissance Centre is by car. If you are arriving at the airport, you can rent a car there or use a private car service like Metro Cars (800) 456-1701 (one-way trip to downtown Detroit for $54).

A number of rental car companies operate at the airport including Alamo, Avis, Budget , Enterprise, Hertz and National.

From the airport

- Depart from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, MI

- Proceed onto Worldgateway Pl

- Proceed toward John D Dingell Dr

- Proceed onto John D Dingell Dr

- Bear right onto William G Rogell Dr

- Proceed onto Merriman Rd

- Take ramp right for I-94 East toward Detroit

- At exit 213B, take ramp right for I-96 East toward Canada

- Take ramp left for M-10 South toward Civic Ctr / Cobo Ctr

- Road name changes to Jefferson Ave W

- Proceed onto Jefferson Ave E

- Turn right onto Bates St

- Turn left onto E Atwater St

- Turn left onto Renaissance Dr W

- Arrive at near 210 Renaissance Dr W, Detroit, MI 48243

From the west side of the city:

(From I-96E or I-94E)

- Take the Lodge (U.S. 10) south towards Civic Center and this will become Jefferson Avenue; proceed east on Jefferson approximately ¼ mile.

- Go past the Renaissance Center and turn right at Beaubien Street.

From the east side of the city:

(From I-94W to I75S to I375 to Jefferson)

- Take Jefferson Avenue west (toward downtown) and merge to the center left lane. Turn left on to Beaubien Street.

From Woodward Avenue:

- Go to Jefferson Avenue, turn left on Jefferson.

- Go past the Renaissance Center and turn right at Beaubien Street.

From the South:

(I-75 North to M-10/John C)

- Lodge to Civic Center which turns into Jefferson Ave.

- Go past the Renaissance Center and turn right at Beaubien Street.

From the North:

- Take I-75 South to I-375 to Jefferson Avenue West (toward downtown) and merge to the center left lane.

- Turn left on to Beaubien Street.*

By bus

Although the ideal transportation option to get from the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport to the Renaissance Centre is by car, other choices are available as in catching a bus. This will set you back an hour though as opposed to the 20 minutes it takes by car.

- From the Metro Airport North Terminal, take the 851 bus direction Inbound.

- At the Renaissance Center and Courtyard Marriott stop, head northeast on E Jefferson Avenue.

- Turn right onto Beaubien Street.
